Dr. Alessandra Angelino, MD, MPH (she/her)
Dr. Alessandra Angelino is a board-certified pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist based in Boston, MA. She is passionate about caring for young people living with chronic illness, including POTS, orthostatic intolerance, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and Long COVID to name a few.
Dr. Angelino earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and her MPH in Global Health from the University of Washington. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at the University of North Carolina and her Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. She holds an undergraduate degree in International Health from Georgetown University.
Her career bridges clinical care, research, and advocacy, with a deep commitment to health equity. She works with the Indian Health Service as a physician contractor and the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board as a lead clinical consultant in adolescent and pediatric medicine, and has served as a liaison to the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Native American Child Health. Her research centers on intersectionality, cultural connection, and mental health outcomes for Indigenous youth through community-based participatory methods.
She is honored to serve as the Awareness for POTSies Medical Advisor and to support a community she cares about deeply.
